Went to the farm this morning with grandpa, we had to AI a cow and feed and move some calves , it was cold and windy.
When we got home it had warmed up quite a bit, but the wind had picked up , thought I had better get those Pansys planted and grandpa went to the garden to plant 6 bunches of onions {he always over does it on the onions Ha!} . except for the Oklahoma wind it is a Beautiful day !

County Livestock Show Week
Whew ! What a week County Livestock Show week Monday the girls showed their Steers and Pigs, started at 9:00 am and then showed their pigs it all ended around 8:30 P.M. Then on Tuesday morning they showed Lambs. They quilified for the Premium sale with steers,Pigs and Lambs, and decided to show Lambs in the sale and let someone else take the steer and pig slots as you can only have one animal in the sale.
I watched all shows and then off to the the Civic Center to prepare for BarbQ on Tue eve, I am glad to say I think we might just have had a record breaking crowd ! Grandpa and I worked to keep the kitchen cleaned up so we could leave as soon as it was over and go to the sale.
Stockmans Bank cooks the meat and I take the left overs and freeze, to take to OKC in two weeks to feed all the kids, parents etc. at the Oklahoma Youth Expo. They are all such a great bunch I love cooking for them .
